What is Hypnotherapy?


I am not sure if you follow alternative medicine or healing but in the last few years, Hypnotherapy has been making huge gains in the alternative market and its seems to be helping people. I haven't been for a treatment myself yet, but upon researching it I compiled the list below. 

I found it interesting reading as the treatment is a form of hypnosis and works by the therapist making suggestions to change or alter your belief about a certain thought or emotion. this enables the healing to occur in your body.

Details with be gathered such as food intake, sleeping patterns, lifestyle, medical medication.

The therapist will also ask you questions on what you would like to achieve during the session and what your long term goals or for overcoming the problem. This process can make you think of more ways that the problem you are there for affects you. This allows you to open up more and get the proper treatment that you need.

The therapist will then explain how the session is going to take place including the cost and how many sessions will be needed.

After all the introductions are done, then the therapist will start the session, you will be seated in a nice comfy chair or be asked to lie down on a couch to allow you to become more relaxed.




The therapist will then lead you into a relaxed mode of hypnosis where suggestions can be made to help you. You may be conscious at this time, but it’s important to remember you will always be in control. Once the suggestions are complete, the hypnotherapist will wake you as if you have fallen asleep.

You will then be allowed to ask any questions about the treatment or future treatments.

How many sessions will you need?


It depends on how many sessions the therapist thinks you need. Smoking Cessation could only last around two sessions, but dealing with depression could last about 5 sessions.
